November meetings: this week!

The November MOPS meetings are happening this week!. Here is a little bit about what each of our groups are doing this month:

Wednesday MOPS - November 10 - "Reflections of Motherhood"
We'll be watching a short video and then all the supplies will be provided for you to make and take home an apple-blueberry crisp to bake or freeze for later! Free childcare provided, 9:30-11:30am. Please bring: a copy of your favorite holiday "treat" recipe! During the Wednesday December meeting we will all bring our cooked holiday item to share, and will receive the gift of a recipe book of each provided treat! (If you forget your recipe you can email it to campbellmops@gmail.com!)

Saturday MOPS - November 13 - "Handling Defiance in Children"
Join us for a hot breakfast, a fun holiday craft project (all supplies will be provided) and get some great parenting encouragement and advice with a video by husband-and-wife family therapists Les and Leslie Parrott. Free childcare provided. 9:30-11:30am! This is the last regular Saturday meeting of the year--in December, we'll be meeting with our families for a free Breakfast with Santa! Call 378-4900 x228 to reserve a table for December 4... and until then, we are looking forward to seeing you this Saturday!

Breakfast With Santa (and your MOPS friends!)

In lieu of our December Saturday MOPS meeting, we will all be meeting with our entire families at Breakfast With Santa, a free event open to the community hosted by the Campbell Church. Enjoy a hot pancake breakfast with your family and hear Santa share his favorite Christmas story. You'll also have the chance to have your photo taken with Santa! Free, but reservations are required. MOPS are being seated at 9am but other times are available, too. Call 378-4900, x228 to reserve a table.

The Lost Art of Respect

In a world where "whatever!" is the norm, the valuable human trait of respect is becoming a lost art. Starting November 7, join the discussion at Parents' Connection on Sundays from 10-11am, for a series on teaching and modeling respect to your kids. Children's Bible classes available simultaneously for all ages from 10-11am.

Plus! Senior Minister Randy Hall discusses respect (and lack thereof) in our adult culture on Sunday, November 7 at 8:30 and 11:15am worship services.

Mom's Night Out: Shop and Swap Nov. 6!

Mark your calendars--the next Mom's Night Out event is coming up on November 6!

Come join us for an accessories and clothing swap party. Is your closet feeling tired? Bring in 4 items of unwanted, gently-used accessories and/or clothing and leave with a variety of wonderful new wardrobe favorites! All women’s clothing, shoes, jewelry and other accessories (no undies or nighties, please!) in clean and wearable condition are welcome.

Want to swap kids' items too? Great! Feel free to bring gently-used kids' clothing and books as well for this dual-swap event! While we swap there will be delicious treats and beverages to enjoy!

Don't have anything to swap? Come anyway! We'd love to see you, and you won't leave empty-handed!

Trunk 'N' Treat: October 31!

Trunk 'N' Treat

A safe, fun family Halloween alternative!
Kids can trick-or-treat from one festively decorated trunk to another in the back parking lot.
Hot Chocolate will also be served! For kids up to age 12 - all kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Parents' Time Out--Free Childcare Oct. 29!

Moms and dads who are with their kids all day need an occasional “time out” to recharge. Time to be alone, run errands, or meet a friend without the kids! That's why the Campbell Church is offering FREE childcare on the last Friday of the month!

Time Out for Parents is fun, free childcare for infants through age 5, from 8:30am to 12 noon.

Drop off your kids between 8:30 and 9:30am.
Pick up anytime before noon.
