Huge Kids-Items Garage Sale!

Gemini Crickets (for parents of multiples in the Silicon Valley), is having their Fall Garage Sale at Bethel Lutheran's parking lot (Cupertino) on Saturday September 25th from 9:00-11:30AM. This is a really big event with tons of stuff for babies through school-age kids. Come early if you are looking for something in particular! Parents are selling ANYTHING kid related so you will see tons of clothes, toys, DVDs, books, equipment, breast pumps, strollers (mostly double strollers), swings, etc.

This garage sale does not benefit the group but just a way for parents to centralize their sales.

After the sale, there will be 'Open Garage Day' as part of the organizations philanthropy where many donated items go to families identified as 'in-need' with or expecting multiples.

When: Sat Sep 25, 2010, 9:00–11:30 am
Where: Bethel Lutheran Church
10181 Finch Ave., Cupertino, CA 95014

A huge thank you to all the moms who contributed, for their help highlighting local talent!Know another local photographer who deserves a spot on this list? E-mail campbellmops@gmail.com or post below in the comments, and we'll make sure they are added!

Interested in getting family portraits done? Writer and MOPS mom Adelle Gabrielson has written a helpful "how-to" article ("Formal Family Portraits: Fun or Fiasco?"), with lots of great tips to help your photo shoot go smoothly.

Wednesday MOPS Kickoff: The Journey of a Lifetime, Sept. 8!

Last year, Teresa Drake gave an excellent presentation to both our groups on Anger Management for Moms. This year for our MOPS kickoff, we are very excited to have Teresa back to speak on "Motherhood: The Journey of a Lifetime."

This talk will be an entertaining and informative approach to the travels and travails of motherhood. In this presentation women will learn how to:
Determine their compass points and set an individualized course for their journey.
Research and prepare for the different ports-of-call that all mommies pass through.
Use specific criteria to build a core group of supportive travel partners.
Identify port authorities (friends, strangers, siblings and parents) and balance their input.
Gracefully navigate bumpy terrain without losing their way.

A hot breakfast and free childcare are provided! Please e-mail campbellmops@gmail.com with your child(ren)'s name(s) and age(s) to aid us in securing the appropriate staffing. If you have any questions or need directions, please send us e-mail or call 378-4900! We are looking forward to seeing you there--don't miss it!

Women's Connections: Tuesdays starting in September!

This fall, women can learn together and get connected, with two groups being offered! You can choose to attend a Tuesday morning group, or a Tuesday evening group! Details on both groups are provided below.

Tuesday morning Women's Study

It's tough being a woman. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. Join author Beth Moore in a very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance as she peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives today.

Join us on Tuesday mornings, starting September 14, 9:30-11:30am
Free childcare is provided! Call (408) 378-4900 for more information! The video below has more information.

Tuesday evening Women's Study

Are you a working mom who can't make the Tuesday morning study, but you still want a chance to connect with other women? Are you looking for a smaller, more personal group? New this fall, be uplifted at a weekly evening Bible study for women that fits your schedule! Join us Tuesday evenings, starting September 14, 7:30 pm at the home of Renae Shah. Study topics will be decided by the group.

You can find plenty of support and encouragement at this group! Call 378-4900 for directions.
